Soldier Of Christ
Privacy Policy
This page explains what happens to your information when you visit soldierofchrist.life. It is written in plain language rather than legal language, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.

Reading this site
You can read every page here without giving anything, and without being followed.
No cookies are set on visitors. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not at all. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Visitor numbers are counted on our own server, not by Google Analytics or any similar service. Nothing about your visit is sent to a third party for measurement.
What is recorded when you open a page:
- Which page you opened, and when
- Whether the device was a phone, tablet or desktop
- How long the page was open, and how far down it you read
- Where you clicked on the page, as a position, not as anything about you
- The website you came from, if any, as a domain name only
What is not recorded:
- Your IP address
- Your browser's user agent string
- Your name, unless you type it into a form
- Any identifier that could be used to recognise you elsewhere
To tell two readers apart within a single day without keeping anything about either, the server turns the IP address and browser into a one-way fingerprint using a secret that is generated fresh each day and never written down. When the day ends that secret is gone, so yesterday's fingerprints cannot be recalculated by us or by anyone who obtained the database. It cannot be reversed into an IP address.
The full referring web address is deliberately not kept, only the domain. A search result link can carry the words you searched for, and those are yours.
These records are deleted after 400 days.
Two pages that load something from Google
Most pages here load nothing from anyone else. Two do, and you should know which:
- The Book Launch page loads its lettering from Google Fonts, so Google's servers see your IP address when that page opens.
- The Rhythm And Poetry page contains an embedded YouTube video. YouTube sees your IP address and may set its own cookies when that page opens, as it would on any site with a YouTube video.
Nothing else on the site loads from a third party. The social media icons are ordinary links: nothing is sent to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube until you click one.
Writing to us
If you use the contact form, we keep what you typed: your name, email address, subject and message. A copy is emailed to the ministry so it can be read and answered.
A prayer request or a message about your life is treated as what it is. It is not added to any mailing list, it is never sold or shared, and it is not used for marketing. If you wrote to us and later want the message deleted, ask and it will be.
Joining the launch list
If you join the launch list for Where God's Love Found Me, we keep your email address, your first name if you gave one, the date, the exact wording you agreed to, and a one way fingerprint of the IP the signup came from. That last one exists so we can show a signup was a real request if it is ever questioned. The IP itself is not kept.
You will be sent an email asking you to confirm before anything else is sent. If you do not confirm, nothing further is sent.
Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately and permanently, and your mail app's own unsubscribe button works too. Leaving is final: signing up again has to be your own deliberate act, and nothing on our side can put you back on the list.
Who else handles your information
- Fly.io hosts the site and its database, in the United States.
- Tigris stores encrypted backups of that database.
- Resend delivers our email. They see the address a message is sent to.
That is the whole list. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising, and there is no advertising on this site.
Children
Soldier Of Christ has pages written for children, and children are welcome to read them. Nothing on this site asks a child for personal information, and the forms are meant for adults. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and it will be deleted.
What you can ask for
Write to apostello@soldierofchrist.life and you can ask to:
- See what we hold about you
- Correct it
- Have it deleted
- Be removed from the launch list, which you can also do yourself from any email
You do not need to give a reason, and asking costs you nothing.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing here is retroactive: information collected under this policy stays governed by it.
