Why Poetry, and Why Now
Some people meet God in a sanctuary. Some meet Him in a cell, in a hospital hallway, in a car in a parking lot at two in the morning with nowhere left to go.
Poetry reaches that second room. A sermon asks for an hour and a quiet mind. A poem asks for ninety seconds and meets you exactly where you are standing, and the rhythm carries it past the walls we build when we are hurting.
That is the whole purpose of Rhythm and Poetry. This is not art for its own sake. It is a rescue mission written in verse, for anyone who has ever felt too far gone to be found.
Scripture-Based Christian Poetry
Every piece here starts in the Word. The Psalms are poems. Proverbs is poetry. God has been speaking in rhythm since the beginning, and He never stopped.
